SPRING in my Step!

With spring here, it's time to add some color and enthusiasm to your home! Here are some fun favorites of mine.

You may have some furniture kicking around that has seen better days. Freshen it up with a coat of paint in a bright color! Here are a few bold choices:
  • General Paints, Squill, CL 1995D (Green)

  • Benjamin Moore, Rhubarb, 2007-30 (Pink)

  • Benjamin Moore, Gold Mine, 2155-20 (Orange)

Or if you would like to purchase this side table: http://www.allmodernfurniture.com/Hokku-Designs-hou-10-orange-KUI1103.html

I like to keep things interesting and change some item's out in my home seasonal. I change out sticks for grasses and dark fabrics for colorful ones. Add some new colorful pillows to your sofa:

A pair of these by your front door or garage would make a stunning feature. Add plants of varying colors, textures and heights to keep things interesting

Powder Room Revival

Add the "wow factor" with a feature wall in this stunning wall covering:

Instead of doing one bar light over head, opt for two wall sconces on either side of the mirror. This will cast a friendly and warm light on your company:

Mirrors have taken on a whole new responsibility other than being practical: having a fashionable presence is key in creating a striking focal point. This option below is stunning, but won't over power a vanity:

Character & Charm

Do you live in a space with the bare minimum and want more? Here are a few tips to add character and charm to your home:

Replace the hardware on your furniture or cabinetry for something with personality:

Change out the standard trim to something with more substance. A 6" high baseboard and 3" to 4" wide casing is the new standard

Replace your standard ceiling mount lights for something more attractive:

Add simple paneling to a feature wall or whole room. You can paint the paneling out in the wall color to create a subtle look, or paint the molding in your trim color for a more contrast
